Ok I had a bit of a break... I'm back with some new images from around town here and here. Photographing in the city has always been one of my passions. Whether it be the people, the buildings, or just stuff, the city offers a great variety of forms and textures, lines and shapes, shadow and light. |

Sometimes all you need are photographs. Sometimes all you need are words. Sometimes photographs and
words together are needed. That's why there is photojournalism. I recently visited Vancouver's Downtown East Side. This is some what I saw and some of what I felt. |

Added some more images from Victoria and Vancouver. Victoria had a few days of snow
this year. A rare chance to capture wintery scenes in an otherwise green city. There is a wonderful poem called The People Yes by the American poet Carl Sandburg. You can find an excerpt here. I have finally added some images of people. |

Added some images of the seashore around The British Columbia coast. I live in
Victoria on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. Canada's west coast is dotted with small coastal communities.
There are many pleasure yachts, but I am drawn more to the working vessels and "retired" boats. |
